MY COUSIN'S POST--VERY FUNNY

From my cousin's post. She is so hilarious and should write a book about some of her experiences.
Ben my true cousin), Carly, and their three and a half children live in Las Vegas while he finishes up Dental School and start to embark on their journey to Kentucky for Orthodontic School. So if this goes on in Las Vegas, imagine what will happen in Kentucky. I can hardly wait!

Oh Dear........

Yesterday I was swimming laps when a lifeguard called me over to the side of the pool and asked me "ummm your not having your baby right now are you?"

Yes sweetheart, I went into labor this morning and couldn't decide whether to call my doctor or go to the pool, so here I am just having a baby and perfecting my backstroke.

Seriously people, I think we previously established that you can expect these kind of comments from the shoppers at Walmart but I thought I was pretty safe at the local YMCA.
I've never been bothered there before, in fact one of the reasons I was there was because generally it's quiet, you can always have a lane to yourself and it's a good place to have a little peace to think.

I pulled off my swim cap just to make sure I had heard her correctly and when I could see that she was serious I just smiled and said "No honey, I'm not having a baby right now.....but I'm pretty sure I met your mother at Walmart the other day."

About Me

My photo
Keith and I were married on October 12,1996 in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. We have no children but raised one child, Kassie, who is actually my niece. We have 3 adorable grandchildren, Austin 5, Ashlynne 4, and Andrew 1. It has become apparent that our home has an OPEN-DOOR policy, since a lot of people have come and gone through our doors. I retired from the medical profession in Aug of 2007 after nearly 30 years and spend my time taking care of these three very lively, often funny,and very active children. My mother lives with us, however she is serving in the Illinois Peoria Mission and will return in July of 2011. Keith is an R.N. and works at a local rehab center in the Mental Health department. One day we hope to finish our home and travel more;
