On Tuesday's and Thursday's I take Austin over to my friend Liz's (sp?) for preschool and while he is at preschool, I bring her daughter, Alison, home with us. If the weather is good we walk both ways, even little Alison, who is 1 1/2, walks. Not that it is that far. By Salt Lake street standards, it's only a block and a half, but for someone her age, it's a long way, but she is full of vigor and energy and she is always excited to come and see Andu! It is also fun to watch Ashlynne with her. She becomes a little mother to her.
It was a little drizzly today, but we still walked through the leaves and the girls loved every minute of it. They were truly enjoyed themselves running and kicking and giggling in the leaves.
Keith decided to joined us in taking Alison home and to pick up Austin(although were were quite a ways ahead of him before he caught up with us). We took a little longer route in coming home and found a few surprises. The leaves with all the color, I found under a pine tree. The red fire bush is just down the street from us, as well as the bushy grass---I don't recall ever seeing grass turn colors with the season, but this was certainly interesting.
I enjoy the turning of the leaves, the crispness in the air and the coming of winter. Yep, I said it, winter is coming and I am thrilled. I love winter.
